Mr. Arif Ali of Hansib Publications has been commissioned by the Government of Anguilla and The Anguilla Tourist Board to publish a 160 page book on the destination entitled “Anguilla, Tranquillity Wrapped in Blue”. The book, which will be published in hard cover, and contain over 200 photographic images, will provide extensive coverage of the island’s history, culture and way of life, as well as information that will be of interest to potential investors and others interested in gaining in-depth knowledge of the island.

According to Mr. Ali, the impetus for the project resulted from talks held last November with senior tourism officials, Donna Banks (Special Assistant-Tourism) and Amelia Vanterpool-Kubisch (Director of Tourism) during World Travel Market in London.
The book will become not only the single major promotional tool for the destination but will also serve as an educational resource for the people of the island.

Mr. Ali is currently on island to hold important talks with potential writers and photographers for the book, as well as to meet with businesses interested in becoming a partner in the production of the book.
Arrangements for Mr. Ali’s visit were coordinated by The Anguilla Tourist Board with assistance in accommodation provided by The Anguilla Great House Beach Resort.
