17TH TIME VISITOR MOUNTS PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION

Mr. John Columbus a photographer from Connecticut mounted an exhibition entitled “The Faces of Anguilla” at the Anguilla Post Office from Monday March 11th to Friday March 14th, 2003.

The photographs which were snapped by Mr. Columbus over a 17 year period since he first began visiting the island in 1984, capture the many faces of the Anguillian island’s culture through a photographic history.
Mr Columbus, who is presently on the island with his wife Janelle Columbus, for a two-week visit, has declared his intention of posting the treasured photos on a website which will also serve as a marketing tool for the island. He will be working with reigning Miss Venus Anguilla winner, Itasha Webster, to obtain the photos which will make up the sites’ Homepage.
Mr. Columbus would like to thank all those persons who, over the years, gave him permission to have their photos taken, as well as Post Mistress General, Lelia Richardson, Courtney Devonish and the Anguilla Tourist Board who helped to make this exhibition a reality.
