EXHIBITION OF ANGUILLIAN HOMES ON SHOW AT LOBLOLLY GALLERY

Artist Iris Lewis is currently showing an exhibition of her work at the Loblolly Gallery. This time Iris shows her talent with pen, ink and pastel. All the twenty or more pictures are of Anguillian homes, some of which no longer exist but Iris is trying to “save” them through photos and paintings for all to see.

Mrs Lewis has lived in Anguilla for nearly twenty years and has taught both adult and young artists. She is originally from Scotland where she qualified as an honours graduate at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen. She works in many media including water colour, pencil, pastel, batik, acrylic and oils as well as using natural objects to make collages.
The many visitors to the opening of her exhibition that took place on March 8 admired the art that is all attractively mounted and framed.
