Today we officially start the 2010 AFFL with five clubs participating. The 2009 league was very exciting and although not as competitive as seasons’ past, Superstars Football Club emerged champions for the 2009 League and Soccer-Rama.
It is our hope that the 2010 League would be more exciting and more competitive and that the players will endeavour to respect the officials’ decisions, other players and play the game of football for the fun and love of the game remembering that “Fair Play Is The Motto Of The Game”.

We express our gratitude to CCB for once again sponsoring the AFFL even in the midst of the global financial situation and the Anguilla Football Association (AFA) and the Female Football Committee (FFC) looks forward to continue this partnership in developing female football on our island.
To the game officials, we are grateful for your support in rendering your time to officiate in the matches.

The AFA Executive and the FFC do encourage all players to maintain a level of fitness that will prevent everyone from sustaining injuries and play the game to the best of ones’ ability to prevent injuring to other players. Remember to hydrate your bodies before, during and after the games. Also remember to warm up before and warm down after matches, this is very important in preventing injuries.

To all the fans and supporters let us have an exciting league and to come out to support your individual clubs and do remember that the officials are in charge of the game and do respect their decisions. Let us all have a fun-filled female football season and may the most disciplined club be most successful in the 2010 CCB sponsored AFFL. Thank you for your attention and I do hope that the League will be free of injuries and everyone will have fun.
