Haiti remains in a state of unprecedented devastation and of dire need almost two months after a 7.0 magnitude earthquake ripped its capital, Port-au-Prince, apart. Though the daily news coverage has died down, relief efforts of Anguilla law firms continue through donations chanelled through the Anguilla Bar Association.

“As Haiti begins the difficult task of dealing with the aftermath of the earthquake, and re-building a nation, the Anguilla Bar Association is pleased to have spearheaded this effort”, commented President of the Association Joyce Kentish-Egan.
“I would like to thank all practitioners who have so far supported the Haiti Relief Effort. Reports of the dire needs of the earthquake victims persist. Those in our community who have not yet donated to the effort should note that each donation counts and will make a big difference to the victims of the earthquake”.

Mr Ricky Rophine expressed gratitude to members of the Anguilla legal community for donating to the cause.
