The eulogy, in which glowing tribute was paid to the late Mr. Bryan for his vision, leadership and contribution to Anguilla, was delivered by Mr. Victor Banks, a longstanding friend and father figure.

Bryan, who was a trained Fire Officer at Wallblake Airport, eventually relinquished his post and opened a grocery shop “Bryan & Sons Supermarket” on the Stoney Ground Road, in close proximity to his family’ residence. He was an avid sportsman and served as President of the popular Warriors Domino Club which has held several local and regional championships. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Social Security Club and a member of the Brotherhood of St. Andrews.
On the day of his burial, the procession left Two Sons Funeral Home, travelled to Wallblake Airport for a brief stop outside the Fire Station, then across Stoney Ground and Little Dix, and stopped briefly near his business place.

The late David Leroy Bryan
|
At the roundabout, across from the Ronald Webster Park, members of the Warriors Domino Club escorted the hearse to St. Mary’s Anglican Church. His casket was bourne inside the Church by a detachment of Fire Officers who also later bore it to the Church-yard Cemetery. The tomb was capped by a very colourful cover bearing his portrait and emblems of the domino sport in which he was passionately involved. Two days prior to his funeral, a well-attended ceremony of tributes was held in his honour by villagers, friends and community leaders.
David Bryan is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lynn Bryan, four children, a number of brothers and sisters, other relatives and many friends to whom The Anguillian offers its condolences.
