Doctor Grows 72-Pound Pumpkin

In addition to loving what he does as a Physician, Dr. Clyde Bryan, of Atlantic Star Group, at South Hill, is finding much pleasure growing pumpkins in his backyard – and big ones at that.

Laughing profusely, he turned up at the office of The Anguillian Newspaper on Monday, this week, showcasing one of the largest pumpkins grown in Anguilla in recent times. Straining to lift it out of his car onto its hood, he announced that it weighed 72 pounds.

He may have harvested it a bit too soon at his residence after realising that the vine had lost its leaves. However, the Medical Doctor is following the recommended tradition of storing the large vegetable in a dark room for sometime in the hope that this would eventually ripen its obviously thick texture.
Farming can certainly be fun even for a young busy Physician.
