Mr. Bryan was a vibrant member of the Stoney Ground community as well as a successful businessman and a former member of the Anguilla Public Service.
His love for community and family was reflected in his daily activities as he surrounded himself with his wife, children, brothers, sisters, cousins and community members daily.

Mr. Bryan was President of the Warriors Domino Club for many years and often accompanied the group to tournaments in Anguilla and regionally. He was a dedicated member of the club and used it as a way to keep young people involved in fair and honest competitive activities. Under his leadership the Warriors Domino Club was one of the most successful nationally. The members of the Warriors Domino Club will forever be indebted to his leadership and support.

Leroy, as he was affectionately called in the community, served the Government and people of Anguilla in the capacity as Fireman at the Wallblake Airport for almost two decades. He received formal training in fire fighting at the Canadian Forces Fire Academy in 1988. Members of the fire service who worked with him recall an affable, determined and brave individual who went to any length to serve his community well.

Mr. Bryan was a successful businessman who ran a grocery store in his hometown of Stoney Ground. This store, Bryan and Sons Grocery, ultimately became the hub of the community. His business skills were evident as over the years Bryan and Sons became an established entity in the community. It became the venue for community gatherings, domino competitions, barbeque fund raisers, and other community activities. In the later years of his life Leroy also got involved in the housing market providing apartments for rent to families and individuals.

The family of the late Leroy Bryan recalls his valiant fight over the last year as he braved the difficulties of his illness. In this regard he was the model of strength and endurance as he remained resolute and unswerving in his belief that God’s will is to be done in his life.

Mr. Bryan leaves to mourn his dear wife Lynn, sons David Junior and Delvin, and daughters Elizabeth and Denysea. He also leaves to mourn three sisters and three brothers, as well as numerous other relatives and close friends including the Honourable Victor F. Banks.
