Area Of Sunken Boat Marked

The Police Marine Unit in Anguilla has undertaken to mark the area where a yacht sunk in Anguillian waters off Scrub Island on January 10 after reportedly striking a submerged object.

The two men on board, Captain Terry Newland, 61, of the UK, and Adrian Ionescu, 36, of the USA, who took refuge in the boat’s dinghy, were picked up by Island Harbour’s fisherman, Patrick Webster.

The ill-fated yacht was said to have left Tortola on a trip to Grenada.
