11 Police Recruits Inducted In RAPF

Deputy Commissioner of the Royal Anguilla Police Force, Rudolph Proctor, reported to the media on Wednesday that the eleven new recruits have now been fully inducted in the local law enforcement body. The induction came as they completed a week of familiarisation with the Police Act, regulations and basic policing.

They arrived in Anguilla from Barbados where they underwent the initial six-month training programme in general policing at the Regional Police Training Centre at Seawell, Christchurch, on the island’s south coast.

Of the eleven new officers, which include three females, three of them, to females and one male, are Anguillians by birth. The others, nationals of other regional territories, have been residing in Anguilla and are therefore well-acquainted with the island’s people, cultural and social life, thus aiding their integration process in the force.

The Deputy Commissioner said that with the additional manpower, the police were now in a better position to perform their duties during the festive season and at all general times.
