Warriors Score Another Win

The Warriors Domino Sports Club of Stoney Ground, which has emerged as a force to be reckoned with, won all three matches when it played in a tournament match in Statia during the weekend of September 11-13. Originally, the Club was also due to play against a team from Antigua but the match did not materialise.

This was the first time that the Warriors Domino Sports Club fully paid its own travel and accommodation expenses. The Club comprises some thirty members, but only half of that number travelled to play in the tournament.

Leroy Bryan, the Club’s President, has expressed gratitude, on behalf of its members, to Minister of Sports, Evans McNiel Rogers, for arranging an Embarkation Tax exemption to facilitate the trip to Statia.

The Club is also grateful to Ambrose Fleming, Junior Fleming and Dougal Hodge who, though not members, travelled with the players to give them well-needed support and encouragement.
