Anguilla Development Board's Thirtieth Anniversary Family Fun Day |

The week of activities marking the Anguilla Development Board's 30th Anniversary culminated on Saturday afternoon in a family Fun Day in a most picturesque and relaxed setting at the Airport lawn. Surrounded by tents and bouncing castles on the perimeter there were numerous activities for children and adults within the demarcated activity zone.

Three-legged race takes off

Several teams engaged in competitive action with the EMS team amassing the most points. However ADB team, which placed second, won the coveted Tug-of-War event, whilst the Social Security team placed third. All the children who participated in the activities received a gift per event.

Musical entertainment was provided by DJ SWAT and the generator was donated by Junie Fleming. Several vendors and associates of ADB displayed their products and much was available to eat from fish to locally made drinks.

In the area of arts and crafts there were many items on display including work by locally renowned artist Louise Brooks as well as Anita Ruan with students from the Summer Sewing Workshop.
There were food displays by Franipany Catering, Anguilla National Creative Arts Association with cake displays by Shirmel Gumbs. Bryan’s Poultry farm contributed in the area of agriculture.
The Sports Department assisted with the overall organising of the sporting events and ensured the success of the games.
