While two beautiful classroom blocks, financed by the Anguilla and British Governments are accommodating the children, a committee is busily raising funds to construct an auditorium which is part of the project.

The fund-raising committee comprises Valentin Davis, President; Kimberly Coburn, Secretary; Harriet Carty, Treasurer; Gregory Permuy, Member; and Principal of the school, Pearline Hughes, member.

The committee recently circulated a floor plan of the auditorium drawn by local architect, KCG & Company Ltd. The committee’s ultimate goal is to raise approximately EC$500,000 to fulfill the responsibility of the community to finance its share of the project.

The most recent fund raiser was a grand Christmas Bingo with various raffles and prizes held by the West End Primary School Development Committee at Coccoloba Beach Resort.

The committee is planning a series of other fund-raising activities and is hoping that apart from its own efforts, donations will be received from many community-minded persons.
