This week there is one more addition to the summer line-up for children’s activities. Anguilla Junior Golf is dedicated to providing young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop, through golf and character education, life-enhancing values such as honesty, integrity and sportsmanship.
|
The intent is to offer opportunities for improvement in the quality of life and create a platform where children can increase their potential for success. Every Tuesday & Thursday throughout July children can attend the Temenos Golf Club for The Anguilla Junior Golf Program. Along with learning to play golf, the children will forge friendships, build character and have a lifetime of enjoyment.
Using a variety of golf training aids and fun props such as water balloons and children’s paddling pool, the instructors can improve the participant’s skills whilst keeping the enjoyment levels very high. Throughout the month long camp, competitions are held with prizes being awarded for putting, chipping, straightest drive and overall prizes whilst playing on the fabulous golf course at Temenos.
The camp starts on Tuesday 8th July, and for more information contact bmorgan@troongolf.com.
The Anguilla Tennis Academy’s summer program will begin this Monday, July 7 and for that reason this will be the last column for the next three weeks. It will be a very busy time for all of us here and I hope readers will not be disappointed that Celebration of Youth will be absent from the paper. Have a great July!!!
