On Tuesday and Thursday last week, a total of 28 members of the business community attended Customer Satisfaction Leadership seminars presented at the National Bank of Anguilla training facilities by Melinda Goddard, principal of ClienTell® Consulting, LLC.

The sessions were conducted in partnership with the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce, and the location allowed for larger classes that included several NBA staff in addition to participants from: Caribbean Cable Communications, Carimar, Kú Hotel, La Palma Guest House, Lloyds Aviation, Malliouhana-ANICO Insurance, Peters Agency and the Anguilla General Post Office.

Participants commented on various aspects of the seminars they found valuable: “I was delighted to be part of the seminar…This will motivate me, and I will share what I’ve learned with all employees… (helped) understand how to communicate with customers and what not to say to customers… Everyone was given the opportunity to express themselves…Lively and very interesting… recovery when mistakes are made…a reminder of simple things taken for granted,” Two more reflected the main focus of the classes: “I had to place myself in the customer’s position, which gave me a better insight on serving them,” and another individual noted that the topics in the seminar remind participants that, “…Without your customers, you have no business.”

“The NBA shared their warm hospitality with all – including some who are also their customers,” said Goddard. Calvin Bartlett, executive director of the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce, would also like to express his appreciation on behalf of the Chamber and its members to the NBA for welcoming the business community to take part in these combined sessions.
