Mr. Richardson was among twenty participants from thirteen Caribbean countries including Jamaica, Guyana, Grenada, Trinidad, St.Kitts, Nevis, Aruba, Curacao, Dominica, St.Lucia, St.Vincent, Turks and Caicos Islands, Cayman Islands and Anguilla.

As part of the Worlds Athletic Plan (WAP) the International Association of Athletic Federation (IAAF) has embarked on a new coach’s education certification system (CECS) which now has five levels instead of the previous 3. One of the aims of the WAP is to have at least one trained lecturer in every member federation of the IAAF so as to continue the development of coaches thus raising the standard of athletics throughout the world.

Mr. Richardson is the first qualified lecturer from Anguilla and as such is responsible for carrying out the IAAF mandate of ensuring that athletics is sustained in the country at all levels namely:

Kids Athletics: 6 – 11years
Multi Event Development: 11 – 14 years
Event Group Development: 14 – 17 years
Specialization: 17 – 21 years
Performance Development: 21 and beyond
Funding for this course was made possible by the IAAF RDC in San Juan Puerto Rico
