Anguilla Police Ready To Question Devon Otto

The Royal Anguilla Police Force is now preparing to question Devon Otto, who is a murder suspect in the shooting death of Devon Ryan of Blowing Point in July last year.
Otto, who was able to evade capture in Anguilla, eventually traveled to St. Maarten to hideout and reportedly became involved in offences there and attracted the attention of the Dutch Police. He was caught last week during a raid at a house and is now in custody there.

“We are working with our prosecutors here in the Attorney General’s Chambers and with the Dutch St. Maarten prosecutors to make arrangements as far as Otto is concerned in relation to our investigations,” said Anguilla’s Police Superintendent, Rudolph Proctor.
“We are hoping at some point in time to speak with Otto and to see if we can get him back to Anguilla to continue our investigations. At present he is in the control of the Dutch authorities and they have some issues with him in relation to offences he may have committed within their jurisdiction. That process has to take its course before anything else.”
Otto is a native of St. Kitts and has been residing illegally in Anguilla. Following the murder of Devon Ryan and the police investigations, he was reportedly seen in various places in Anguilla but always eluded the police. No information on his whereabouts was available even when a sum of money was offered to anyone for assistance in the police efforts to arrest him.
Deputy Commissioner of Police in Anguilla, speaking on behalf of Commissioner Keithly Benjamin, expressed thanks to the Dutch St. Maarten Police for their cooperation and for being able to apprehend Otto.
