Cheddie’s Sandblasting & Promotional Products (CSPP) hosted their annual customer appreciation cocktail on Wednesday 19th March, 2008. During this event, two awards was presented. Malliouhana-Anico Insurance (MAICO), represented by Ms. Monica Hodge, received a prestigious, grammy-type award as CSPP’s Customer of the Year 2007. The other award presented was to CSPP’s Employee of the Year, and this was awarded to Ms. Trinecia Greene.

Cheddie’s Sandblasting & Promotional Products has also made a more notable presentation during their function, a presentation that is to the benefit of all Anguillians and anyone visiting any of the island’s clinics. In honour of Cheddie’s mother – Mrs. Yvonne Adella Richardson – who had recently passed away, Cheddie and his brothers Jerry-Dice and Corwyn Richardson, along with Mr. Carlton Carty (who along with his wife Judith Carty were the primary caretakers of “Della” during her treatment in the U.S) have made a gift to the Health Authority of Anguilla in the form of a health slide which is geared towards helping people to understand cancer. This health slide lists facts about cancer, and offers advice to persons to help them to cope when cancer strikes close to home.

The gift was presented to Mrs. Meridith Gumbs and Hon. Mr. McNeil Rogers who accepted the gift on behalf of the Health Authority of Anguilla. The gift is intended to be distributed evenly throughout the clinics of Anguilla. Mrs. Gumbs, and the Hon. Mr. Rogers thanked the Richardson family for their considerate gift, and went on to mention that gifts such as this were always welcome and encouraged. They further commended the children of Mrs. Yvonne Adella Richardson for having taken the time to think of helping others within the community even during their time of bereavement.
