The service was conducted by the Reverend Dr. S. Wilfred Hodge who represented the Reverend Dr. H. Clifton Niles. He congratulated the Bank on its outstanding achievement and was pleased that a service at Bethel was decided on to launch a series of activities to celebrate the event. He was joined by Steward of the Church, Allison Hughes, who said that NBA’s success was a result of “the hard work, planning and dedication by everyone from top to bottom and bottom to top.”
Two staff members delivered the Scripture Readings following which all of the Bank’s personnel sang the hymn Now Thank We All Our God, a very appropriate selection for the occasion.
Speaking after the service, NBA’s Chairman, Conrad W. Fleming, who was involved with the Bank from its inception in 1985 and played a leading role in its establishment, brushed aside any personal credit for its success.

“I was only one of the persons who had the vision for a National Bank of Anguilla,” he acknowledged. “It was a team effort by all of us for the love our people and country.” He added that the growth of the Bank was certainly much reason for pride and looked forward to its continued success.
