Thirty models in Anguilla have been featured in what has been described as “the first ever DA Style Swimsuit Calendar” to be launched on the island. The small fashion/modelling agency was founded by Dominican national and beauty queen contestant, Natasha Chasseau, a resident in Anguilla, in partnership with Anguillian Kirthly Richardson. They are also the Directors of NK Production, a line of locally-designed swimsuits.

DA Style was founded in April 2007, but was officially launched on January 11, 2008. The agency states that its aim is “to produce annual calendars, magazines and fashion shows in Dominica and other parts of the Caribbean to showcase the talent, beauty and potential of young aspiring models.”

The agency further says that it is also geared “to help promote positive careers locally, regionally and internationally, by engaging the models in assignments with magazines, fashion show producers, TV commercials, department stores, catalogue companies, modelling competitions etc. The agency founders explained that they “are responsible for promoting and developing each individual’s career in the highly competitive industry.” In addition they have responsibility “for ensuring that the models’ needs are met when they have to travel to various countries to participate in shows.”

On December 2, 2007, three of DA Style’s models participated in a swimsuit competition in Anguilla where Miss Sandy Island and the others “gave a tremendous performance and represented the agency to their best ability.”

On January 26, 2008, DA Style and NK Production were featured at the International Soca Monarch Night with Mr. Vegas at the Windsor Park Stadium in Dominica. Upcoming events will be the agency’s Feeloo je Fashion Show on March 1, at Landsome Bowl in Anguilla; the Alexia Best Fashion Show in Philipsburg, St. Maarten on March, 29 and in Dominica later in the year.
