One of the fundraising activities was held last weekend when Club members began painting the exterior of the Post Office.

The painters included Calvert Carty, a former Postal Supervisor who is now an honorary member of the Postal Club, Carmencita Davis, Deputy Labour Commissioner, also an honorary member of the club and Alecia Isles, Executive Secretary at the Post Office.

The Anguilla Postal Club has been involved in various community projects in Anguilla over the years and has adopted the Island Harbour Primary Schools. It makes contributions to the students there regularly.

“Every year we join other members of the postal clubs from throughout the Caribbean,” Mr. Carty stated. “We meet at a particular place. We have fellowship, we play games and we discuss various aspects of postal matters. We have a contingent of about 25 persons and we are thinking to raise US$20,000.”
