He wished them all the best, on behalf of the Government and the Ministry of Finance, saying that he was pleased to be part of the event that demonstrates families working together.
Rev Clifton Niles, Superintendent of the Methodist Church in Anguilla, blessed and dedicated the store, congratulated the proprietors and all involved, and wished them every success.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Evalie Bradley who stressed that the store was 100% family owned and expressed the belief that Anguillians must share in the economic development of the island. Service and quality will be offered, according to Erville Hughes, another of the owners. He assured persons that there are cards for every occasion and any others can be ordered. He congratulated all the family for their hard work with particular mention of Denecia Niles whom he described as “a driving force behind us”.
The ceremony included an opening prayer by Hyacinth Hughes, Manager of the Store, a scripture reading by Daphne Niles, a closing prayer by Rev Joseph Lloyd and the vote of thanks from Alma Hughes who presented a bouquet of flowers to Hyacinth. Lively string band Christmas music completed the happy event.
The store will be open from 9.00 a.m. - 6.00 p.m. daily with special late opening hours before Christmas until 9.00 p.m.
