The Anguilla Chamber of Commerce and Industry is pleased to announce that its annual Christmas Shopping Fair is to be held on Saturday 8 December and will run from 10 am until 10 pm.

This year the event will be held in the car park outside the ACOCI building (the Old Police Station), Parliament Drive, The Valley. This will enable ACOCI to welcome visitors inside their headquarters for an Open House, complete with business presentations.

As part of the preparations for the event prisoners from Her Majesty’s Prison Anguilla are helping spruce up the exterior of the ACOCI headquarters, giving it a much needed new coat of paint, under the watchful eyes of prison staff.

Father Christmas will, of course, be in attendance on the day and will be on hand for all good little children to visit, from 10 am onwards.

Other highlights of the day will be music by the Musical Brothers and the imaginatively-named Energetic Superfly String Band which played to acclaim at the recent Business After Hours joint ACOCI/Cable and Wireless networking event. A fashion show, always popular, will also be held during the afternoon.

There will be stalls displaying a wide variety of goods to tempt all budgets. This is a chance to get ahead with Christmas shopping without the hassle of a trip to another island
