Tickets for the highly anticipated 2007 Tourism Gala (Headline Sponsor National Bank of Anguilla) went on sale this week. The organizers of Anguilla’s Annual Tourism Gala are promising an even more spectacular ‘red carpet event’ than last year. Due to overwhelming demand for tickets last year they have increased the numbers and will be issuing tickets on a first come first served basis.

The Tourism Gala is held under the auspices of the Hon Victor F Banks, Minister of Finance, Economic Development, Investment and Tourism. It is a glittering event in the island’s social calendar and is an integral part of Tourism Week. The highlight of the Gala is the presentation of the Annual Tourism Awards which include Employee, Supervisor and Scotia Bank Hotelier of the Year. The event attracts attendees from the Hotel and tourism community, local business and Government.

This year the organizers are pulling out all the stops to provide even more glamour for their guests with valet parking, red carpet arrival, fabulous cocktail reception, delicious 3 course gourmet meal, fine wines, exciting awards presentation, dancing with Boss and of course the largest door prize draw in Anguilla. All ticket holders are entered into the door prize draw and this year there will be even more prizes than ever – including a gift from Diamonds International, hotel stays, meals in our top restaurants, spa treatments amongst many other exciting gifts.
The Tourism Gala will take place on Friday 30th November at Zurra, Bob and Melina Blanchard’s Restaurant at the Temenos Golf Clubhouse, and is administered by The Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association and The Anguilla Tourist Board. It celebrates the stars and pioneers of our tourism community through its prestigious awards and exciting location.
