A release from the resort stated that in order to keep pace with top world rankings, and to fulfill its vision of creating experiences beyond expectations, a number of Anguillian managers had been promoted to senior management positions in readiness for the new season.
One of them is veteran Julucan Condon Proctor who has been promoted to Guest Services Manager. One of the original employees, she began as a Receptionist/Telephonist in 1988 and worked her way up to Reception Manager, a post she held since 1996. A graduate of the Barbados Community College she, over the years, participated in numerous management and skills development training courses. In her new role she will oversee the Front Desk, Concierge, Bellstaff, Spa Services and the resort’s Meet and Greet Service.
Kenyatta Browne has been promoted to Purchasing Manager:Norwell Proctor’s promotion is Wine and Beverage Manager, and Barbara Mussington is the head of the Beach and Water Sports Department. Two of the new appointees were available for comment.
Condon said: “As a Julucan for about 19 years, I think this position is well-deserved. I have worked extremely hard over the years. My aim is to work harder as a Julucan and as an Anguillian and make us all proud. My intention in life, though, is to be a Hotel Manager and pursue my final degree in Hotel Management.”
At present she holds an Associate Degree from the Barbados Community College and a Certificate in Accommodation Management.
Kenyatta stated: “I am very glad to have been offered the opportunity to represent the Purchasing Department. I am happy that the Management Team saw the ability in me, that I have what it takes, to manage the department in an effective and efficient manner.”
