The 2007/2008 Executive of the Year in Anguilla is Mrs. Janine Edwards, a partner in Sunset Homes, a real estate up-market construction and villa company on the island.

She received the award from the Anguilla Association of Office Professionals on October 16 in recognition of Blessed Bosses Day.

Mrs. Edwards is a highly-respected and business professional and is a most deserving person for the honour.

In a letter of acceptance of the award, she wrote the following to the Association:

“It warms my heart to humbly accept this meaningful award on behalf of Sunset Homes. It is a distinct honour and pleasure particularly since the nomination was spearheaded by our staff.

“Sunset Homes, managed by my husband, Ian “Sugargeorge” Edwards, and myself, thrive to continually nurture relationships with our customers, suppliers, community and very importantly staff.

“Mutual two-way empowerment between Managers and staff are significant, [for] personal and professional growth and success for all. We commend the setup and successful operation of the Association of Office Professionals.

“Office Professionals are the heartbeat and the lifeline of any operation no matter what the industry. As Office Professionals, you are the driving force that runs the wheels of the Company/Department. We therefore recommend your efforts to strive for high standards and performance within your field.

“I regret that I am unable to attend in person to accept this honour, as I just gave birth to a bouncing baby boy this morning. This day is special for me in many ways. Thanks again to our staff and to the Association for this great honour and all the best success with the Association.”
