Dr. Kael Rogers


Once again, like many times in the past, and hopefully many more times in the future, all Anguillians should be proud. Educators, parents and the community at large, should be commended for yet another son’s educational performance and achievement.

Dr. Kael A. Rogers of Shoal Bay (East) has graduated from Columbia University School of Dentistry in New York.
Dr. Rogers who is the son of the Honourable Evans McNiel Rogers, Minister of Social Development, attended the Stoney Ground Primary School and the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School, graduating in 2000. That same year he enrolled at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, pursued undergraduate studies in Chemistry and Biology in preparation for Dentistry. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri, Kansas City and graduating in 2003. Having prepared himself for Dental School, he attracted a number of recruiters from dental programmes throughout the United States. However, in the summer of 2003 he decided to attend Columbia University School of Dentistry, graduating in the spring of 2007.
Dr. Rogers was one of 74 graduants and one of only 2 black graduates in the class of 2007. His academic accomplishments are many; however, achieving the award for being “THE BEST DENTAL PRACTITIONER” has been one of the highlights of his accomplishments thus far.

On June 28th 2007, Dr. Rogers began his Dental residency at Emory University in Atlanta where he is expected to specialize in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has pledged that one day he will return home to serve his people.

We congratulate Dr. Kael Rogers and his family and wish him every success in his future endeavours and we await his home coming.
