Work is proceeding steadily on the second phase of the extension of the spa at CuisinArt Resort. According to General Manager, Stephane Zaharia, the facility should be completed in November when there will be a soft opening. This will be followed by a hard opening in December.

The state-of-the-art spa will comprise eighteen thousand square feet. New to the resort will be a thalasso pool containing salt water and minerals for special watso treatments. The spa will have sixty rooms making it the largest such facility in Anguilla, if not in the Caribbean, according to Mr. Zaharia.

Asked what further work was taking place at the resort, Mr. Zaharia said that construction work had begun on six private villas scheduled to be completed between a year and a half and two years.

On completion the hotel will have up to 120 rooms. At present there are 93 rooms. “We don’t want to get bigger than that,” he added.
