CCC Offers Unprecedented Calling Plans

Caribbean Cable Communications (CCC) will be introducing two new calling plans unprecedented in Anguilla as of May1, 2007. The announcement was made on Tuesday this week by the recently-appointed Corporate General Manager, Chris Graves, who has 25 years experience at AT&T in the United States, and Barbara Owen, Director of Operations for the Anguilla, Nevis and Montserrat branches.

The first calling package is termed The Unlimited North American and UK Calling Plan. With this plan customers pay a fixed monthly fee of EC$134.00/(US$49.95) and receive unlimited calling to the United States, Canada and the UK, including the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Other overseas destinations are available at CCC’s low anytime calling rates. There is no need to dial a 10-10 code – the same rates are available 24/7 any day of the week.

All local calls can be made at the best prices available from any telephone provider in Anguilla. Better yet, customers receive two lines – that is two separate telephone numbers. This ensures that family members no longer need to wait for an available telephone line.

US$49.95 is the total cost of the service. There are no additional monthly costs except for local and overseas calls outside of the US, Canada and the UK. As always, on-net calling is free and customers can call and CCC customer at no cost whatsoever.

The second package is termed The Unlimited Worldwide Calling Plan. For EC$242.00/(US$89.95) per month, customers can receive unlimited calling worldwide. That is unlimited overseas and local calling to fixed line and mobile numbers. This is also a two-line service.

“We know of no other calling plan that lets you call anywhere in the world for a low fixed cost with the additional benefit of two telephone lines,” the CCC announcement states. “The monthly charge is what you pay. There are no add-ons or hidden charges.”

According to CCC’s President, Lee Bertman, the advanced telephone technology employed by the company makes all of this possible. “Our state-of-the-art technology substantially reduces our costs and we are pleased to pass along the savings to our customers,” he stated. “As an additional benefit, we are expanding our Triple Play discount to these two programmes. Customers who take Cable TV, internet and telephone services will receive a 5% discount on each of the three services.”

These plans are available to customers starting May 1, 2007. There is a limited offer available until June 30. Rates are guaranteed through December 31, 2007.

Chris Graves described the two calling plans as very exciting offers aimed at stimulating growth in the CCC’s subscriber base. “We hope we will make a good splash in the Anguilla market,” he said.

Mrs. Owen took the opportunity to thank CCC’s loyal customers for their continued support and encouragement during all the years of the company’s operations and the changes and challenges it has faced.

“It is because of you that we have our success,” Mrs. Owen added. “Further, I would be remiss if I didn’t thank our loyal, dedicated and customer-focus employees without whom we would not be sitting here today.”
