Kamique Properties in association with other projects at Little Harbour and Little Bay, has undertaken to pay the balance of Ms Federick’s loan from the National Bank of Anguilla to rebuild her home.
On Wednesday, last week, Mr. Bloom, very excited about assisting her, presented Federick with a cheque for US$2,900.46 to pay a portion of the loan. His company has undertaken to continue the payments each month until the balance is all paid off.
Commenting on the matter, Mr. Bloom said that originally he thought he was assisting someone he just happened to know because of her need. He was delighted to discover that Ms Federick, who has three children, 11, 10 and 6 years old, was a friend of his parents and living near them in the area of a number of villas he is managing. Added to that, she is acquainted with his 6-year-old son. Her situation was brought to his attention by Barrister-at-Law Keithley Lake whose law firm has also been of assistance to her.
The cheque was presented in Mr. Lake’s conference room. The law firm is one of the legal companies providing advice for Kamique Properties.
Ms Federick said in a statement: “Many, many thanks to Keithley F. T. Lake and his Staff; and plenty thanks to Mr. Ira Bloom for their generous contributions…With your generosity, I was able to rebuild my home and live comfortably with my family; and for that I want to say a very special thank you.”
