The curtains came down on the Senior Male Football League on Sunday 18th March 2007 with the finals of the Knock Out Competition. It was “Buck eye” and the Spartans who had the last laugh as they squeezed past the defending Champions, Roaring Lions FC. Star midfielder Kapil Assent scored the only goal in the 69th minute from a brilliant free kick which caught the entire Lions team napping. Though Lions fought hard to find an equalizer, the Spartans defence held firm and managed to de-throne the Lions, who ended the season without a championship trophy.

The Knockout encounter was followed by a brief closing ceremony which saw Attackers FC receiving their Soccerama trophy and Kicks United FC crowned as league champions, in only their second year of existence. Individual awards went to Kimani Winston, of Attackers FC, as the Best Midfielder. Leon Jeffers of the Roaring Lions FC was the best defender. Colin Liddie of Spartan FC was judged the best goal keeper of the season, while the league top striker went to Addi John of Attackers FC.
