Two Arrested For Shooting Incident |

The Royal Anguilla Police Force has reported that two young men from North Valley were arrested in connection with the firearms incident at Grillers Restaurant, Stoney Ground, in the early hours of Sunday, February 18.

There was a disturbance outside the premises during which shots were fired. No one was injured, but parked vehicles were hit by bullets.
On Friday, March 2, a police operation, which included the use of a helicopter, was mounted at a house in North Valley where a search warrant was executed. A 19-year-old male (JP) who resides at that address, was arrested in connection with the shooting incident at Grillers Restaurant and also for possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
Then on Monday, March 5, a 24-year-old male (TP), also of North Valley, was arrested in the Valley in connection with the same firearms incident at Grillers Restaurant.

JP was charged with drugs and firearms offences and TP was charged with firearms offences. They appeared before the Magistrate on March 5 and were remanded in custody until March 12.
The police release announcing the arrests stated that the law enforcement agencies were determined “to use all available resources to fight drug and gun crime in Anguilla.” The statement continued: “Those wishing to engage in such levels of criminality can expect to face the serious consequences of their activities and behaviour. We will do all in our power to make this country a safer place [in which] to live and work.”
