Teacher Carlene Brooks of the Stoney Ground Primary School reported that there was a great amount of excitement among her class when her literacy theme was on food a few days ago.

“The children were taught about the importance of food,” she said, stating that other related matters included sources of most foods and the importance of recipes. Cake-making was one of the recipes in which she instructed the youngsters. “The children were very excited and followed the instructions very well,” she commented.
