Over the weekend of March 3 - 4 2007 loyal fans were able to witness exciting football matches which commence the KNOCKOUT CHAMPIONSHIP.

On Saturday March 3rd at 3:30 pm the ALHCS FC defeated the Full Monty by a score of 3-0. The school boys dominated the entire game frustrating the Full Monty causing numerous mistakes and argument on the field of play. Adonijah Richardson and Boris Bradshaw dominated the defence for the school and the energetic Desroy Findlay made certain the ALHCS FC continues in the Knockout Championship. The first goal scored by the school boys was a magnificent cross from Kievoy Lake scored by Kelbert Walters in the 29th minute. The score at the end of the first half was ALHCS FC 1 Monty 0.
In the 53rd minute of the game he scored the second goal for ALHCS FC and in the 82nd minute Desroy Findlay scored the 3rd goal with the final scores ALHCS 3 Full Monty 0.
On Sunday 4th March 2007 Spartan FC defeated the 2006-2007 League Champion Kix United FC in one of the most exciting and keenly contested match of the season, where fans were chanting for their favourite teams. Referee Trevor Rouse was in charge of the game with the assistance of Allan Carty and Ambrell Richardson.
At the start of the whistle Spartan demonstrated their ability to be the only team to beat Kix in two straight games with a beautiful shot to goal that was knocked out by Godwin Davey. Then 22 minutes into the game Kenny Williams scored for Kix United and at half time the score was Kix United FC 1 Spartan FC 0.

Into the 50th minute Andre Griffith scored for Spartan equalizing the score at 1-1 then 3 minutes later a penalty was awarded to Spartan FC. It was taken by Andre Griffith who catapulted his team forward by the score 2-1. In the 71st minute of the game a lapse in Spartan’s defence enabled Kix United Gavin Berridge to bring the score level for the second time 2-2. With the pressure now at boiling point, and the fans on their feet, Kapil Assent put Spartan ahead with a goal in the 75th minute and in the 90th minute of the game a penalty was awarded to Kix United that was taken by Glenville Allen Rogers equalizing the score 3-3. The game went into over time, with an extra 15 minutes, with Spartan Masimba Bowen scoring the 4th goal. Then Kapil Assent drove the final nail in the coffin of Kicks United FC with a beautiful corner that actually bent into the goal. As the fans said he “bent it like Beckham”. That goal was unstoppable by any goalkeeper. At the end of the game Spartan FC was the winner beating Kix United FC with scores 5-3.
When the final whistle was blown one saw the jubilation of the Spartan players and fans. Buck eye kept repeating the ball is round and the field is rectangular and let Spartan game speak for itself.
Well fans, bring your Orange & Blue rags to the football field. It’s the clash of Roaring Lions FC and Attackers FC on Saturday 10th March at 3:30 pm. Roaring Lions will be defending the KNOCK OUT Championship trophy. Lions say they have no intention of letting Attackers catch them with their pants down but Sugar George said pants down or up he defeating the Roaring Lions come Saturday.
On Sunday 11th March 2007 it is Spartan FC versus ALHCS FC. Buck Eye advised Spartan to take warning and do not under estimate the school boys. The winner of these two matches will meet on Sunday 18th March 2007 at 3:30 pm in the final of the 2006-2007 Senior Male Football Competition.
