Among the large number of members of the legal fraternity, government officials and other invited persons at the Thanksgiving Service in Anguilla for the 40th Anniversary of the Eastern Caribbean States Supreme Court, was Dame Bernice Lake, Q.C.

The eminent and well-respected Anguillian jurist was recognised by Assistant Priest, the Reverend Menes Hodge, for having, like the OECS Supreme Court, attained forty years of service in the legal field. Ms Lake, always a humble person, was seated away from the spotlight of the assembled members of the Judiciary and the Anguilla Bar Association.
Outside the Church she was the recipient of much kudos and greetings from a number of young lawyers and others who admire her.
