For the last six weeks, hundreds of thousands of bmobile customers across the Caribbean have been downloading or texting, with hopes of winning the T&T Carnival Christmas promotion from bmobile and Tempo… and today the lucky Grand Prize winners were announced. Ten happy bmobile customers, including Karen Browne from The Valley, are gearing up for the biggest party of the year, which they will attend in true celebrity style.

Karen said ‘when I first got the call saying I had won, I thought it was a prank call, and I did not want to believe it, but now it is sinking in that it is really true – I have not even started preparing for my trip!’
The winners who’ll be traveling from across the Caribbean to dance with Machel, party with Brian and play mas as guests of bmobile and Tempo are: Baney Ramoutar, Trinidad & Tobago; Jessica Henry, Antigua & Barbuda; Julie Haynes, Barbados; Karen Browne, Anguilla; Kelva Aleong, Trinidad & Tobago; Matthew Bellamy, Barbados; Oscar Browne, St. Kitts & Nevis; Ricardo Lewis, Jamaica; Shawnalee Sinclair Brown, Jamaica; and Youthlyn Forbes, Turks & Caicos Islands.

From February 17-21, 2007, during the all-expenses paid VIP trip, winners will party all night at the Insomnia Fete, join the Island People Carnival band, costume included – plus they’ll have behind-the-scenes access to Tempo’s Carnival events, and will appear in a Tempo Carnival show. They’ll even get the chance to attend Brian Charles Lara’s annual Carnival party. And of course, they’ll receive loads of gifts from bmobile and Tempo, including clothing from WEIGHT Clothing Company… plus US$750 cash to spend during Carnival (with an extra $750 for winners hailing from T&T).

In addition to the Grand Prize, during each week of the T&T Carnival Christmas promotion, 30 bmobile customers won either a new Motorola L6 phone with an exclusive bmobile Island Hits music CD, a bmobile MP3 player, or US$100 cash to spend during the holiday season.

bmobile customers entered to win by either texting MACHEL to XMAS, or by purchasing any piece of content from bmobile buzz, the premier mobile portal in the Caribbean for ringtones, wallpapers, screensavers, games and videos.
