Drugs Seized at Crocus Bay
|
The CID reported that on January 7, a fishing boat was seen at Crocus Bay in suspicious circumstances. As a result a large quantity of cannabis, concealed in a false fuel tank on the boat was recovered. Two Anguillian men have been charged with drug trafficking offences and are currently on bail from the Magistrate’s Court.

left medium >The Task Force was equally busy when a man was intercepted attempting to convey both cannabis and what is believed to be crack cocaine, hidden in his clothing, during the Country Music Festival at Scilly Cay on Saturday afternoon, January 13. He was arrested and the drugs seized. He was later charged with drug supply offences and bailed to appear later in the month at the Magistrates Court.
The CID also dealt with a report of serious assault on a woman at South Hill on Saturday night. The woman, who has not been named, has been kept in hospital with extensive head injuries. After intensive enquiries, the police arrested a man on Tuesday night, January 16 on suspicion of attempted murder. He was placed in custody at The Val
