Regional air carrier, LIAT (1974) Ltd., rises to the stars as the Official Airline of Digicel Rising Stars contest. On Tuesday November 14 the first winners of the Digicel/Liat competition were announced and presented with their tickets to various destinations.

Karesa Pemberton is the lucky winner of two tickets to any LIAT destination, just in time for the approaching Christmas holiday.

Each week of the competition voters have the chance to win a ticket for two to any of LIAT’s 19 Caribbean destinations of their choice. Winners are selected at random from the nine participating islands.

Marketing Manager of LIAT, Derrick Frederick, said “LIAT is committed to developing the talent of the region and is pleased to be associated with the Digicel Rising Stars competition which facilitates this.” He added, “LIAT looks forward to working with Digicel in an ongoing process and we are delighted to see the success of the show.

Hundreds of fans tune into the popular show each week eagerly anticipating the announcement of the winner. The keenly contested competition concludes this weekend after 12 weeks.
