New PS Admnistration Appointed


Ms. Arjul Wilson has been selected to succeed Mr. Stanley Reid as Permanent Secretary, Public Administration. Ms. Wilson took up her appointment on Monday July 24. She is the second woman in Anguilla’s history to be appointed to the post of Permanent Secretary.

Ms. Wilson is a lawyer by training and prior to taking up her new appointment she worked as Legal Draftsperson/Crown Counsel in the Attorney General’s Chambers. In that capacity she gained an understanding of many of the issues facing the public service.

Miss Wilson’s varied work experience is supplemented by her completion of a number of programmes, including management and mediation training, designed to equip her with the skills necessary to prevent problems and resolve disputes. Ms. Wilson’s strong commitment and dedication to her work in the public service has been widely noted and commented upon. That same commitment and dedication will serve her well in her new role.

Ms. Wilson is a welcome addition to the hardworking and forward thinking team at Public Administration and it is expected that she will receive the full support of her colleagues.
