Dr. Lewis-Brooks, an island scholar, left Anguilla in 1999 for Lincoln University in Pennsylvania to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Pre-Medicine. She completed her four-year course in three years and graduated valedictorian of the class of 2002.

She is also pursuing a Masters degree in Public Health and Health Policy.

The Anguillian doctor is the daughter of Bonnie and Janet Lewis of South Hill and the wife of Euclid Brooks. An article submitted to The Anguillian stated that Chantal “is grateful for the support and encouragement that her parents, husband, other family members and friends provided.”

The article continued: “She thanks God for His protection during her course of studies and also the Government of Anguilla for its financial support. She also acknowledges the teachers of Anguilla who helped to develop her educational foundation and members of her church and community for their prayers and love. She looks forward to contributing to the health care and development of health policy in the Anguillian community in the future.”
