The Queen’s Commission of Deputy Governor of Anguilla was presented to Stanley Everton Reid by Governor Alan Huckle on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen on Thursday, June 1.

On the day of his departure, on Friday, June 2, the outgoing Governor appointed Mr. Reid as Acting Deputy Governor until the new Governor, Andrew George, arrives in Anguilla.

After reading the commission, Mr. Huckle congratulated Mr. Reid on his appointment.

In addressing the officials at the ceremony, Mr. Reid said: “I consider myself privileged to be joining you as a member of Executive Council and I pledge to serve the people of Anguilla to the best of my ability because I consider the position to be one of service. I will ensure that as with all things Anguilla benefits from my abilities and skills.”
