This was announced by the United States Achievement Academy. It described the award as a prestigious honor very few students could ever hope to attain. It was also stated that the Academy recognises fewer than ten percent of all American high school students.

According to the announcement, the Academy selects winners of the award based on the exclusive recommendation of teachers, coaches and counselors and other qualified sponsors and on the standards of selection set by the Academy itself.

The Anguillian student’s name will appear in the United States Achievement Academy’s Official Yearbook.

Tyrone is the son of Anita Webster who resides in St. Thomas and Emerson Reid of Anguilla.
