The National Bank of Anguilla has announced what it calls a Career Enhancer Loan Combo aimed especially at Forms 5 and 6 students desirous of furthering their academic studies abroad.

The Bank’s Marketing and Business Development Officer, Marisa Gumbs, made the disclosure on Wednesday, May 4, when she and other senior officers met with the students and their Principal, Darwin Hazell, at the Teachers’ Resource Centre.

“Starting college is a thrilling, exciting and sometimes overwhelming experience for the entire family,” she told the students. “Worrying about how to pay for it can add to the stress, and the expenses can add up quickly. Recognising this, it gives me great pleasure to announce NBA’s newest offering, the NBA Career Enhancer Loan Combo geared towards the development of Anguilla… and say this offering is targeted to NBA’s commitment to your education.” She emphasised that the offer was, “without doubt the best student loan package on the island.”

She explained that the components of the package comprised the following: a student and computer loan at 9% declining with a repayable term of up to ten years and the option tomake interest only payments while at school; automatic qualification for a Visa/MasterCard Credit Card of up to US$1,000.00 to facilitate unexpected expenses of the college student; free Online Banking, a free service for students during their studies, allowing them, to be in a better position to manage their accounts while away; the NBA Cheque Card, which enables them to have access to their funds by ATM withdrawals and make purchases while aboard. Parents will find the facility cheaper than sending wire transfers, safer than carrying cash and instant access to funds. Lastly, there is the Free Dell Gift Card for $100.00, once application is made by July 15 and the card is issued. The gift card can be used on Dell Online or at any Dell Store for purchases of items of choice.
