ROAD RELAY: Ashley & Sons Road Relay Attracted Large Crowd


The 11th Annual Ashley & Sons Road Relay races attracted a large crowd of spectators cheering on the many school children who participated in the events.

The results of the activities, released by Physical Education Teacher, Rollins Richardson, are as follows:

Bicycle Race – Girls: Morris Vanterpool Primary School, 1st; Valley Primary, 2nd; Island Harbour Primary, 3rd; Road Primary, 4th ; Alwyn Allison Primary, 5th. Stoney Ground Primary did not finish the race due to a cycle accident.

Boys: Morris Vanterpool Primary, 1st; Road Primary, 2nd; Stoney Ground Primary, 3rd; Valley Primary, 4th; Island Harbour Primary, 5th and Alwyn Allison Primary, 6th.

Road Relay – Girls: Valley Primary, 1st; Stoney Ground Primary, 2nd; Island Harbour Primary, 3rd; Morris Vanterpool, 4th and Road Primary, 5th.

Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School Road Relay – Girls: Yellow House, 1st; Orange House, 2nd; Pink House, 3rd; Purple House, 4th and Maroon House, 5th.
Boys: Pink House, 1st; Purple House, 2nd; Yellow House, 3rd; Maroon House, 4th and Orange House, 5th.

Medals were awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams in each category. Refreshments were served and t-shirts given to all participants following the events.
