At a meeting on Monday, February 13, the elected members of the Board of Directors of the Anguillla Chamber of Commerce and Industry were appointed to run the affairs of the organisation for the next calendar year.

John Benjamin was again appointed to the position of President to spearhead of the operations of the Chamber with Executive Director, Calvin Bartlett.

New Board member Brent Davis was appointed Vice President and will be actively involved in the hands-on duties of the various committees formed by the Board. Barbara Owen was appointed Secretary for a second term and Valentin Davis, a newcomer to the Board, Treasurer.

Three other Board members, Vida Lloyd, Colwayne Pickering and Kerwin Jean Baptiste, will act in various capacities as supporting directors with responsibility for public relations, human resource development and community and economic development.
Mr. Barlett commented that he saw great potential and energy in the new Board and he was looking forward to a fruitful and progressive year.

He stated that with the various plans and proposals on the table, the business community would benefit from programmes and initiatives when they were manifested into workable materials. He called on business owners to join the Chamber as supporting members, as their input would help to make the Chamber the organisation it should be.
