New Country Head Appointed In Anguilla


FirstCaribbean International Bank has a new Country Head in Anguilla. Miss Marie Rey has been appointed to this position with effect from January 16th. Miss Rey will also manage the Bank’s branch in the Valley.

In this position, Miss Rey will represent FirstCaribbean on all matters pertaining to banking in Anguilla are ensure that the bank delivers to customers excellent service via a full suite of products and channels, which include Internet banking. Miss Rey will also head the Bank’s country Management Committee, which comprises the senior FirstCaribbean officers in Anguilla.

Miss Rey has been in banking for 16 years having joined Barclays Bank which preceded FirstCaribbean Bank International.

She holds a Diploma in Banking from the Graduate School of Banking in Wisconsin in the United States.

Miss Sonia Sifflet, the Assistant General Manager, Channel Management and Service Excellence for FirstCaribbean Bank, who has responsibility for the branches in the OECS, including Anguilla, was recently in Anguilla to welcome Miss Rey to her new post and to introduce the new Bank Manager and head of Country to staff at the local branch.

While in Anguilla, Ms Sifflet also took the opportunity to share with staff the Bank’s expectations and strategies for Anguilla for 2006.
