Farmers in Anguilla breathed a sigh of relief on Wednesday, January 18, when two tractors and arrange of equipment were handed over by the Governor’s Office and the Anguilla Government.

FCO’s gift to Farmers Association

Governor’s Staff Officer, Joe Legg, handed over one of the tractors to the Farmers’ Association. It was purchased under the FCO’s Economic Diversification Programme Budget. The cost of the tractor and equipment was EC$109,344.

The other tractor and equipment were purchased by Government at a cost of US$80,550. This was disclosed by Parliamentary Secretary, Albert Hughes. Farmers can now have their lands ploughed after a long wait. More next week.
