The Career Development Institute at North Hill, Anguilla, has awarded certificates to a number of students who attended and completed a Computer Crash Course, Information Technology Level 1 and Level 2 Computer courses.

Students who gained CXC passes in other subject areas such as Mathematics, English, Information Technology, Office Procedures and Principles of Business were congratulated for their performance in the examinations.

The graduation ceremony was held on Friday, December 16. The opening remarks were given by Karlyn Liburd, Manager of Career Development Institute. The feature address was delivered by Jerome Roberts, Customer Care/Billing Supervisor at the Anguilla Electricity Company.

Mr. Roberts, a past student at the institute, encouraged the graduates and those persons returning when the next term begins, to continue to excel and to make the best use of the education programmes of the Career Development Institute. Ms Liburd was highly recognised for the good work which is being carried on at the institution and the progress it has made since its inception.

Students expressed their heartfelt thanks to Ms Liburd and the other teachers for their hard work in preparing them to the stage where they could obtain a certificate in the subjects studied. At the end of the ceremony students were invited to enjoy some light refreshments.

The management and staff of Career Development Institute take this opportunity to wish everyone a blessed holiday season and the very best for 2006.
