Three Get Blackbelts


Three young members of the TaeKwando Club in Anguilla have qualified for black belts having passed the required practical exams at the Road School Auditorium on Sunday, December 11. They were examined by Grandmaster Chin who frequently comes to the island to review and grade the skills of club members.

The successful students were Taryn and Tariq Gumbs both of whom did the traditional bow to their parents, Conrad and Marcia Gumbs, and Colin Hazell, son of Dorothy Hazell, who did likewise.

The ceremony, in which a number of other young people received different belts depending on their grades, followed a period of demonstrations supervised by Emmanuel Laud and other trainers.
