Weekend Cricket In Anguilla


The Ronald Webster Park in Anguilla has been well land mowed and new dressing has been applied to the cricket pitch for a three-day Leeward Islands match here from Thursday to Saturday involving players from Anguilla and Antigua.

The Anguilla team is captained by local cricketer, Oamri Banks, the West Indies off-spinner and all-rounder.
The captain of the Antigua team is Sylvester Joseph, the West Indies Vice Captain on the recent tour of Sri Lanka.

Antigua is leading the three-day tournament with 27 points with Anguilla along with St. Maarten in second place with 21 points each.

Following the three days of play, both the teams from Anguilla and Antigua will again engage other – this time in a one-day competition on Sunday, sponsored by NAGICO.
